Call for Papers     (PDF File)

With the growing interest in conceptual modelling, we are pleased to announce a new conference series focussing on disseminating the results of innovative research in conceptual modelling and related areas. The first running of this conference will be in Dunedin, New Zealand in late January 2004 as part of the Australasian Computer Science Week. The conference week also includes:

Registration to APCCM 2004 will enable delegates to attend sessions in any conference participating in the Australasian Computer Science Week.

SCOPE OF CONFERENCE

The actual amount, complexity and diversity of information are increasing day by day. Information that has to be conceptualised and efficiently organised in order to be useful. Conceptual modelling is fundamental to the development of up-to-date information and knowledge-based systems. The new conference series aims on providing a forum for experts from all areas of computer science and information systems with a common interest in conceptual modelling.

APCCM 2004 invites contributions addressing current research in conceptual modelling as well as experiences, novel applications and future challenges. Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to:

PAPER SUBMISSION

APCCM 2004 invites papers describing original contributions in all fields of conceptual modelling and related areas. Papers should be no more than 10 pages in length conforming to the formatting instructions for the series Conferences in Research and Practice in Information Technology (instructions available at the APCCM 2004 website). Each paper will be judged on its originality, significance, technical quality, relevance to APCCM and presentation. Submission of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, at least one author will attend the conference to present the work.

Submission to APCCM 2004 will be electronically only via the APCCM 2004 website. Authors are asked to submit first an abstract and then to upload the full paper using the paper-id assigned by the system.

PUBLICATION

The proceedings of the conference will be published by the Australian Computer Society as part Conferences in Research and Practice in Information Technology series (CRPIT) which is also held in full-text on the ACM DL. Each paper will be fully refereed. Complete instructions for authors regarding submission and formatting procedures can be found at the APCCM 2004 website.
After the conference authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an extended version for publication in the Journal of Research and Practice in Information Technology (JRPIT).
